What is Runs Produced?

Here at Runs Produced we bring you the latest news & analysis about the unsung heroes of the fantasy baseball world: the catcher.

Catchers are the kickers of fantasy baseball - not the star or the biggest statistical contributor - leaving them often overlooked when compiling a fantasy squad.

Catchers aren’t glamorous, they are gritty, and that doesn’t always translate to the world of fantasy baseball. But each position in your lineup matters, and a catcher could make the difference that propels you to the playoffs.

At Runs Produced, our goal is to be your go-to source for fantasy baseball news, and we hope to produce your “run” to the league championship.

From Baseball Reference, runs produced is a statistic that calculates the number of runs for which a player is directly responsible. It is calculated by adding runs scored and runs batted in and subtracting home runs (i.e. RP = R + RBI — HR).
